A Serviced Office? Is It The Best Office Solution For Me?So I'm at a transition in my life where I may be moving to Dublin Ireland with my boyfriend. It a little stressful. Having to sort out a man with a van in Dublin and all that kinda stuff. Along with such a big move is the consideration of what path I might take with regards to work. I know from my mans friends and family that their is some what of a recession going on in Ireland and so jobs may be hard to come by and indeed competition for those jobs will be fierce so of course Im very drawn towards the idea of starting my own business and it got me thinking about what factors will play a part. Ill obviously have to set up a company so company formation information is a must as well as getting an understanding of the tax system and how I pay myself but what really caught my interest and is the reason I'm find myself writing this post one of office precises. In particluar serviced offices caught my interest as it's an idea ive never really encountered before and yet seems popular in Dublin.
A serviced office is effectively a business centre that houses and rents multiple individual office spaces and meeting/conference rooms which are all effectively manned by one reception area. You benefit from a professional receptionist answering your calls, all infrastructure is often in place along with IT support. The office space you rent is often fully furnished and these serviced office operators all have cleaners, security and more. Compared to the usual over heads you would incur going down the tradional office route a serviced office seems to lend itself beautifully to business start ups. And of course with the economic downturn it also lends itself very businesses that my need to cut costs and down size there office space. There is of course the option of a home office but for me I have to say that a Dublin Serviced Office holds some what of a strong appeal to me and is most definately something I will keep on the cards. The phone is always manned during office hour. Emails are looked after and you get the benefit of using a prestigous dublin address. Its food for thought for anyone looking to go into business on there own.
